Miryam was born in Mexico City and moved to San Diego, CA at the age of 4. As a young girl, she enjoyed eight incredible summers at Ramah Ojai and always dreamed of making her way back “home” to camp (although now on a different coast). In addition to earning a BA in American History from Columbia University, Miryam also earned a BA in Jewish Studies from Albert A. List College at the Jewish Theological Seminary. During her time as a student at List College, Miryam obtained a work-study position in the Institutional Advancement Department of JTS, and credits that time for her passion and drive in development work. After graduation, Miryam worked at a fundraising consulting firm and then returned to JTS’s department of Institutional Advancement as Assistant Director of the New York Region. While in New York, Miryam also spent time fundraising for Mount Sinai Hospital. Since then, she has worked with many organizations of varying size, helping them reach their goals and accomplish their mission. Most recently she served as Director of Institutional Advancement at Hillel at the University of Pennsylvania. Miryam currently lives in Wynnewood, PA with her husband, Adam, and two children, Georgi and Daniel.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Rachael has diverse therapeutic experience working with individuals, families, and groups across a variety of clinical competencies. She has a strong foundation in community engagement and programming within the Jewish Community. She holds an MSW from the University of Maryland, School of Social Work, and is a Certified Thanatologist, specializing in grief and loss. She spent many years at Ramah Poconos as a camper and staff member and also served on the Board of Directors. Rachael met her husband Josh at camp when they were Junior Counselors, and their boys, Sam and Ben, are proud Poconos Alumni.

An alumna of Camp Ramah in the Poconos (Gesher 2010 & 2019), she spent seven years on tzevet (staff), the last four as a Rosh Edah (division head), before joining the year-round team. Tobi received her undergraduate degree from Drexel University and an MA in Jewish Educational Leadership from the Davidson School at the JTS.

Benjy was born in Israel and grew up in the town of Rosh Ha’ayin, where he currently lives with his wife, Ella, and sons Eitan and Yarden. He has spent most of his summers in his home away from home – Camp Ramah in the Poconos, a sacred place for him and his family. As a summer staff member, Benjy held many logistical roles at camp, including kitchen supervisor, dining hall manager, and head of security, before joining the year-round team in 2016. Benjy earned his B.A. in Sustainability and Government from the Herzliya Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), and has worked at the Knesset, Israel’s parliament, as a senior adviser to a Knesset member and as a regional campaign manager for the Yesh Atid party.

Stephanie oversees Camp Ramah Pocono's development and fundraising operations. She has spent her career supporting nonprofit organizations with their fundraising strategies, cultivation events, volunteer leadership, and infrastructure-building. Stephanie has a BA in Business Administration and Marketing from Temple University. In her free time, she enjoys traveling to far-off places, practicing yoga, swimming, surfing, and spending time with her older daughter, Eden, and her younger daughter, Penelope - who is excited to join Ramah Day Camp this summer!

Alex Kogan brings nearly twenty years of experience leading finance, operations, and administration in the nonprofit sector. Before joining Camp Ramah in the Poconos, he served as Interim Chief Operating Officer at Congregation Beit Simchat Torah and, before that, as Director of Operations at Apex for Youth—helping both organizations strengthen their systems and support sustainable growth.
Earlier in his career, Alex led operations and finance at Bank Street College’s Children’s Programs and at Jewish Community Project Downtown, experiences that developed and deepened his commitment to creating nurturing, values-driven environments where young people can thrive.
Passionate about building organizations that make a lasting impact, Alex is especially inspired by the infusion of Jewish life in children’s programs. He holds a B.A. in Psychology and Economics from Hunter College and lives in New York City, where he enjoys spending time with his two dogs, traveling, working out, and discovering new music and podcasts.

Originally from Rockland County, New York, Orlee grew up at Ramah Nyack, going from camper to counselor to Rosh Edah. As a life-long Ramahnik, parent of young children, and aunt of a child on the autism spectrum, Orlee is committed to creating and implementing opportunities for all children to participate in the Ramah camping movement. A graduate of Jewish day school, the Nativ College Leadership Program in Israel, the University of Massachusetts in Amherst and Mercy College, Orlee holds bachelors and masters degrees in Judaic Studies and Education. Most recently Orlee served as the Director of Education at Matan, the Director of Camper Care at Ramah Day Camp in Nyack, and the Tikvah Network Coordinator for the National Ramah Commission. Orlee lives in New City, New York with her husband Matt, and their children Micah, Raya, and Gavi.

Rachael is very excited to return to Camp Ramah in the Poconos, where she spent 7 years as a chanicha (camper) and 6 years on tzevet (staff). She holds an Elementary Education degree from Boston University and a Masters in teaching and reading from Wheelock College. Rachael spent many years teaching in Boston and Harlem in schools that emphasized community and family partnerships as foundations for children's success. In her final year in Harlem, she transitioned onto the school leadership team as an Academic Dean, a role in which she trained and coached teachers. She resides in upstate New York, with her husband Rafi (of Camp Ramah New England) and her three children, Ellie, Jonah, and Zakai. When she has a moment between chasing her children around, Rachael loves to bake, read, and volunteer in the community. Rachael is very excited to introduce her family to Camp Ramah in the Poconos this kayitz!

Noah started as a camper at Ramah Poconos in 2007 and has worked at the overnight camp for several summers, most recently as Rosh Yedidim in 2022. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2020 where he majored in nonprofit management and philosophy. Out of college he worked in development for a Philadelphia nonprofit, and now joins us as a member of the year round team. Noah will focus on improving staff recruitment, as well as expanding our staff programming and appreciation strategies.

Aaron is excited to return to his Ramah roots as the Assistant Director of Advancement at Camp Ramah in the Poconos. A proud Ramah Wisconsin alum, he spent six summers as a chanich (camper), five as a madrich (counselor), and one as a rosh edah (unit head), experiences that sparked his lifelong passion for Jewish community. Professionally, Aaron has built his career in Jewish communal fundraising at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades and the American Society for Yad Vashem. After spending a year on the Nativ College Leadership Program in Israel, he completed his undergraduate studies in Business at Brandeis University and later returned for his MBA and a Master’s in Jewish Professional Leadership through the Hornstein Program. Aaron and his wife, Teri, live with their daughter in New Jersey.

Diana started in 2011 as a camper at Poconos and has worked at both Ramah Day Camp and Poconos, most recently as Rosh Halutzim in 2022. She graduated from Brandeis University in May with a double major in Psychology and Business. After working as our Development Intern for a year, she is excited to expand her work and bring back key alumni events such as Erev Thanksgiving and Alumni Weekend, as well as add new energy and ideas to this position. Jordanna, also known as "Jordy," eagerly joins the year-round Ramah Poconos Team after a lifetime of connection to Ramah. Growing up at Camp Ramah in Canada and later marrying into the Poconos family, she's spent many summers there with her husband, who served as the camp doctor, and her four children, who consider it their second home. With degrees in Marketing and Mental Health Counseling, she brings valuable professional experience, including her recent role as a Youth Director in the Philadelphia Jewish Community, where she discovered her passion for working with Jewish youth. Her unwavering love for Israel infuses every aspect of her life and work.
Jordy's eagerness to give back to the Ramah community stems from the pivotal role it played in shaping her upbringing and identity. With her diverse skill set, genuine passion for youth engagement, and deep-rooted connection to Jewish values, Jordy is excited to make a meaningful contribution to the Ramah Poconos family.

Leanne has been a dedicated member of the Ramah family since 2011, initially working in Omanut (arts). After a rewarding 20-year career as a teacher, Leanne joined the Ramah year-round team in June 2024. Her passion for fostering community and guiding children toward a love of Jewish camp has been central to her work. In her current role, Leanne focuses on year-round engagement, recruitment, and retention, collaborating closely with local Jewish organizations, schools, and synagogues to strengthen partnerships and create lasting connections.
In addition to managing registration and applications for both the Day and Overnight Camps, Leanne provides essential logistical support for the summer programs at Ramah Poconos. Working alongside a committed leadership team, she ensures a seamless and enriching experience for all campers.
As a parent whose children have journeyed through Ramah, starting at day camp, finishing overnight camp, and even serving as counselors, Leanne is deeply connected to the camp's mission. She loves spending time outdoors, traveling, and enjoying family time, all while continuing to help children feel a sense of belonging within the Ramah community.

Amy grew up in the Philadelphia suburbs and has a lifelong passion for Jewish community and education. She holds a BA in Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania, including a year abroad at Ben-Gurion University.
Her career spans education, hospitality, and non-profit operations. She has held various roles at Julian Krinsky Camps and Programs, the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia, and PIDC. In 2018 she helped launch Philadelphia Hebrew Public Charter School as its founding Director of Operations. Amy lives in Center City with her husband and two children—who are both proud Ramah campers! She is excited to bring her expertise to the Day Camp and share the magic of RDC with more Philadelphia-area families.

Karyn is a Ramah Poconos Alumna, and this will be her 12th summer at Ramah Day Camp. Karyn has loved spending her summers at the day camp with her two sons, Andrew (19) and Joshua (16). She has loved getting a front row seat watching them grow up as happy Ramahniks, and has taken great pride seeing them as amazing counselors and serving on staff with each of them.
Karyn has been a camper, counselor, assistant Rosh Edah, teacher, and parent liaison at Ramah Poconos. Her time at day camp has been spent as a teacher and Rosh Hinuch (education). Karyn has her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Counseling and Human Relations. She taught fourth grade at the Perelman Jewish Day School (Stern Center) for 9 years and was the Director of Stepping Stones Enrichment Camp for 12 years .
Karyn is currently the Shul School Coordinator at Darchei Noam in Ambler as well as a preschool Hebrew immersion teacher at several local synagogues. “All of my jobs have always included taking care of my students/campers, and I am excited to make this my number one responsibility this summer. There is nothing more important than the well being of each and every camper, and I look forward to working with my amazing Ramah team, as well as the families, to ensure our campers have fun and successful summers."
